Between a 1.2m (3ft 11in) lead and off-lead freedom there is a stage where a dog needs managed distance. A 3m (9ft 10in) line with a handle is the tool for that stage. Carried alongside the 5m (16ft 5in) version, it forms a two-length system that lets us recommend by training stage rather than by guesswork.
